A chart room that became a company

Niran Chaiyaphum

Niran spent his twenties in the back office of a Bangkok brokerage, checking figures other people had already circled. He left that desk because the circles were being drawn before anyone had looked at the lower panel. He began evening readings in a rented room in Khlong Toei in 2013, still with other people’s photocopies and a ruler.

When the company was formed in 2015, the evenings became the Confirmation Desk: a fixed pack, a fixed momentum window, and a refusal to call a signal-line cross confirmation until the second reading agreed. Mali Srisawat joined in 2017 to keep the packs, the rail, and the deposits in order. In 2019 the academy moved to its present room at 22/10 Sukhumvit Rd, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110.

How the work is done

Paper first. A screen may be used to show a chart that could not be printed, and then the pencil still goes onto a sheet. Markets discussed in the room are historical by the time they are pinned up. Sitters keep their own accounts, their own advisers, and their own orders. The academy’s work ends at the mark and the sentence that would cancel it.

The room holds eight at the desk and twelve at the histogram workshop. That limit is the width of the wall chart, not a slogan. People who need a louder class, a certificate, or a feed of alerts are told so before they pay a deposit.

What the company stands by

Disagreement is part of the method. A page where MACD and momentum point apart is a successful page if it was marked honestly. The academy would rather send someone home with a blank circle than with a confident one they cannot explain on Sunday.
