Cookies
This page explains what the academy site stores in your browser, how to accept or reject the notice, and what changes if you refuse. It sits beside the privacy page.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep. This academy site does its remembering with local storage rather than a cookie file: one key, set only after you press Accept or Reject on the banner. The key is clarity-vertexpoint-consent.
Types
The stored choice is essential to keeping the banner dismissed. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, and no cookie that tracks you across other sites. Fonts may be fetched from Google; that request is a network call, not a cookie set by the academy. See “Third parties” below.
The record we set
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| clarity-vertexpoint-consent | Remembers that you pressed Accept or Reject on the banner, so it stays closed | Until you clear site data for this domain | Clarity Vertexpoint Academy (local storage, first party) |
Accept and reject
Both buttons are on the banner. Accept stores the value “accept”. Reject stores the value “reject”. Neither choice turns pages off, blocks the enquiry form, or hides the notes. The site does not load a second script after Accept. If you have never chosen, the banner appears on the next page.
How to clear or block storage
In your browser settings, clear site data or local storage for clarity-vertexpoint.click. The banner will return on the next visit. You can also block local storage entirely; the site remains readable, and the banner may reappear each time because the choice cannot be saved. Blocking third-party cookies in the browser does not change the sittings, because the academy does not set a third-party cookie.
Third parties
Google Fonts is requested from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com so the serif faces load. Google may see your IP address and may set its own cookies under Google’s policy when that request runs. If you prefer those faces not to load, use a browser extension or a content setting to block those hosts. The text remains available in the browser’s fallback serif. No other third-party script is included.
If storage is disabled
You can still read every page, send an enquiry, and call 023851134. You will only lose the memory of the banner choice. Questions: hello@clarity-vertexpoint.click.
